Mandatory for insurance companies to provide insurance for Coronavirus

IRDA has made it mandatory for all companies that provide life and non-life insurances to give insurance for Coronavirus infections as well. The companies will have to launch their Covid-19 policy before 10th July 2020. This has been done following the increasing number of COVID cases in the country.
